Mexican Black Opal?

Subject: Mexican Black Opal?

I had purchased a beautiful collection of Mexican Fire Opals, between all of the stones there is one rare black one. It seems lighter than the rest and almost like plastic, when putting it in water it stays on top and then slowly sunks, it is the only one that looks this way. Does anybody know if it could be real or if seems to be false opal? Do they make fake black opals?
