Thanks Jim, I was checking it out closely with a loupe the other day and it seems it is a plastic base. On the bottom there is no clarity and on the top you can see through and there is many little pieces of colorful shining material, maybe opals but I would not bet on that now.

Could this be what they call triplet? or that is a different story?
