Drilling holes in opals

Subject: Drilling holes in opals

I want to make a hole in several opal pieces to make into jewelery. I have been looking at the Dremel small handheld drills. Would these be suitable for the job? I know about using lots of water to be used whilst drilling and i have some diamond tipped drill bits on order. Its just the drilling tool that i need to be sure about. Can someone advise.
