Subject: Drilling in Alans's Rise Coober Pedy

Wow just got back from drilling at Alans's Rise. Tough country!!!!
A great deal of bad ground (Blue ground) Very hard to find the
sandstone. The Rise is known as vertical opal country. Very hard to
locate the opal- needing to drill right on top of it!!! But the reward is
fantastic- the opal coming out of there is very very high quality.
Anyone interested in purchasing some rough dark based opal? drop me
a line.
