You can bring the opal to one of our American Opal Society meetings on the second Thursdays of each month in Garden Grove, CA. I'm sure some of our opal experts could give you an un-biased estimate.

Otherwise, if you answer a few questions, maybe I can help you. To determine the price, there are a number of factors to be considered. Do you know what site the opal was found at? Is it precious opal or common opal? What color is it? Do you have picture you can post?
