So, one of the threads above states that 80-90% of Virgin Valley Opal will craze. Yet, I've heard other sources state that most of the opal has already dried out and if it hasn't crazed in the field it probably won't craze later. Is this accurate? Does the opal occur in a wet clay or is the area pretty well dried out for meters in depth? Just wondering if I can pretty much bet on any opal I find their cracking on me.
