Subject: Reputable source for polishing rough opal in San Diego |
|
|
Hi all,
Can anyone advise me how to go about getting a chunk of opal in matrix evaluated and polished?
I have a rather large piece that I'd like to have judiciously appraised to see if there are any veins that can be exposed and polished. The idea is to have a aesthetically polished opal still in matrix.
How do I protect myself from someone who might carve up the piece and keep selected opal for himself?
My piece is a block around 4" x 2" x 2" and has opal on about 20% of the total surface on 3 sides.
Thanks for your advice.
