Subject: Writer seeks info on Mojave Desert opals for article

Hi. I'm writing a magazine article about the opal mines in Mojave.
I am planning a trip to the mines in the next week or two and would like to meet up with others who plan to go mining there. Also, if you have a claim, I would like to talk to you. Additionally, I would be interested in participating in a field trip to the mines if any are planned.
*** I would also like to meet jewelers who work specifically with opals from the Mojave Desert area. If anyone knows of an artist specializing in Mojave opal jewelry (high-end gallery or museum quality), I would like to review photos and possibly incorporate an artist interview into my story.
This is a freelance article that I intend to sell to a national magazine, so I would prefer to interview artists with their work available for sale in galleries and/or minimally with their own website. I am not paying for interviews or photos.
