I have 3kgs (approx 6lb I think) of Black opal rough from Lightening Ridge Australia at the moment and more expected any day now. It has been tumbled only to remove most of the sandstone and at least half of the stones have colour showing. Colour is mostly purple/blue and green but many orange/red stones as well. Stones range from 2-3 carats up to some of around 30-50 carats and there is quite a few of the larger stones. Of the other half of the sample with no visable colour, a lot of the colourless stones may have colour inside or the black potch may be useful to make doublets with some of the thinner fire lines in the good stones. Please email if you are interested and I shall send pics. Please understand that im not a dealer and have difficulty getting good quality stones to fill my hobby cutting needs. I am forced to buy in bulk to get the one stone that Im after so offer the rest at a greatly reduced price. Price is neg. Cheers, Nic
