Hi , I used to live in that area years ago, and do not think you will find anything other than the occasional gem trade shows. Most rough you will see offered directly from the miners in Au.
I have cut and traded in opal for about 11 years , you can send us a picture if you want of whatever you have a question about, try to use direct sunlight, and another in moderate to dim roomlight if using a digital camera, remembering it's play of fire is directional and may show better in bright or moderate lighting.
